Our Tiny Explorers class invites little ones and their caregivers into a world of joyful discovery. Learn how to connect with your child using everyday items that you already have at home. With wiggles and giggles, caregivers get to join in the fun too! It’s a chance to step out of life’s daily rush of life and make time to bond, connect, and explore. This class will be led by Rachel Assal-Albert, Bender JCC’s Early Childhood Developmental Support Coordinator. Rachel supports the development and growth of the children in the Bender Early Childhood Center and their families.

Join us for some music, bubbles, and stories!! We will also leave plenty of free time for families to hang out and get to know each other. This class will be led by Jen Radosh, Bender JCC’s J Family Programs Director. Jen has over a decade of experience creating and teaching programs, events, classes, and playdates for families with children ages 0–5. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health, bringing both expertise and heart to every class she leads.

Build on your child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement and learn the skills to support the natural process of music development. Pricing per family depends on how many children are enrolled in the class. $280 for the 1st child, $175 for the 2nd child and $90 for the third child. Music helps to anchor a child’s cultural identity. Rhythm ‘N’ Ruach high energy music and movement to encourage joyful Jewish learning. Ideal for children ages 0 – 4 years old, this program encourages children and their loved ones to participate in the music with real instrument and yoga poses, creating an inspirational and educational experience. Caregivers will be required to stay for the entirety of the program.

Becoming a parent for the first time is exciting—but it can also feel overwhelming and isolating. Join New Moms Circle at the Bender JCC to find community and connection with others who are experiencing similar milestones and challenges. This group meets weekly and offers connection, encouragement, and practical guidance from your peers as you navigate the physical, emotional, and lifestyle changes that come with caring for a new baby. Light refreshments will be served. This group is designed for first-time parents with babies aged 0–9 months.

Are bedtime battles dragging on? Is your toddler resisting sleep, waking overnight, or starting the day far too early? You’re not alone. Sleep challenges are very common in the 12 – 24 month year stage as children experience big developmental leaps. Anna Gerrard, certified pediatric sleep specialist and founder of Sweet Dreamz Baby, will share practical, gentle strategies to help families build healthy, sustainable sleep habits for toddlers. Her approach respects your child’s age, temperament, and your family’s values – without rigid schedules or harsh methods.

Celebrate Hanukkah with incredible music, games, and food! Fun for all ages! Join us for an afternoon full of fun, Hanukkah food and music with The LeeVees, making their first appearance in the DMV in over a decade! The LeeVees features Adam Gardner from Guster and Dave Schneider from The Zambonis who, with their incredible band, play original Hanukkah rock music. Don’t miss this chance to light up your Hanukkah with great vibes and great company! Doors open at 3:00 pm with a Hanukkah Carnival featuring a wide array of (free) games and activities. Your concert ticket also includes latkes and sufganiyot (Hanukkah donuts). The concert begins at 4:00 pm and ends with a Hanukkah candle lighting. This event will take place in Potomac, Maryland. The specific location will be sent in advance to those who have purchased tickets. This concert is the kickoff to Washington Hebrew Congregation’s 175th Anniversary and is presented in partnership with Camps Airy & Louise, URJ Camp Harlam , and URJ 6 Points Specialty Camps (Sports, Creative Arts and Science/Tech) with more co-sponsors to be announced soon. Tickets are $36 each or a Family Four-Pack for $108 (+ service fees).

Looking to keep your energic tot active? Join Potomac Soccer for some silly soccer fun. Kids will learn age-appropriate skills that will keep your toddler engaged and foster a love for the game.
