Chanukah Together

Chanukah Together
Chanukah is all about pushing away darkness by bringing in more light. We know that being together makes that light so much brighter. SVIVAH is gathering three times during Chanukah to light candles together, celebrate with each other, and share some Chanukah learning — including a celebration of Hag HaBanot, a beautiful Sephardic feminist holiday celebrating women*s friendship and sisterhood with its roots in North African Sephardic communities. This the light we need right now – you, us, wonderful teachers, and honoring spectacular women*. It's everything we love to celebrate. 🕯 Second Candle: Monday, December 15 8:30–8:50pm ET / 5:30–5:50pm PT with Sara Lynn Newberger 🕯 Fourth Candle: Wednesday , December 17 8:30–8:50pm ET / 5:30–5:50pm PT A celebration of Hag HaBanot/Eid al Benat: A Sephardic Celebration of Womanhood 🕯 Eighth Candle: Sunday, December 21 8:30–8:50pm ET / 5:30–5:50pm PT with Dr. Jane Shapiro www.svivah.org/gatherings SVIVAH welcomes women* 12+ and learners of all backgrounds. As always, we define "Jewish women" as all those wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women. If you want to be with us, you belong with us. Seriously.
