Leave a Legacy

Creating your Jewish legacy ensures that you will be remembered and that your passion and your values will continue when you are no longer here. It also serves as an example to your loved ones that you believe it is important to support the Jewish community. The act of creating a legacy empowers you to complete the work of your heart. By leaving a legacy, you will help to ensure that the traditions and institutions important to you remain vibrant for future generations.

The United Jewish Endowment Fund connects philanthropists with opportunities to create their Jewish legacy. Together, we strengthen and advance Jewish life in the Greater Washington area, Israel and around the world.

The United Jewish Endowment Fund (UJEF) is the planned giving and endowment arm of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. UJEF provides you with the opportunity to establish a legacy that will shape and improve Jewish life for generations. Gifts to UJEF can be made outright during the donor’s lifetime or through one of the planned giving vehicles. Your gift can be added to an existing endowment fund or create a new fund to support a specific field of interest, the annual campaign or unrestricted needs. UJEF allows our community to maintain a permanent, self-sustaining source of income to support existing programs of The Federation and to develop new approaches to address emerging needs here and overseas.
