Local Leader Shelly Kupfer Named Chair-Designate of National Women’s Philanthropy

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington is proud to announce that our community’s own Shelly Kupfer has been named by The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) as the new chair-designate of National Women’s Philanthropy.

As those who know Shelly can attest, she is an engaging leader, and incredibly thoughtful, hardworking, and passionate about Federation. Shelly currently sits on the Board of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and serves as Chair of Federation’s Jteen Philanthropy. She is also a past Executive Committee Member, President of Women’s Philanthropy, Women’s Philanthropy Campaign Chair, and Women’s Affinity Chair.

In the JFNA system, Shelly has served as National Young Leadership Cabinet Co-Chair from 2011-12. She has been on the NWP Board since 2012, is currently the Seventh Year Class Chair, and served as ILOJC Co-Chair in 2016.

Shelly will serve as NWP Chair from June 2019 until June 2021.We have no doubt that she will continue to do great and meaningful work in this prestigious and well-deserved new position, and look forward to witnessing her continued success.
