Federation’s Ukraine Emergency Fund Now Open

Belonging to a global Jewish community means assisting and caring for Jews wherever they are — always, and especially in times of crisis.

As we watch the Russian invasion of Ukraine with growing concern, Federation and our partners, JDC, the Jewish Agency for Israel, and World ORT are coordinating to swiftly meet the urgent humanitarian needs of the more than 200,000 members of Ukraine’s Jewish community.

Your gift to Federation’s Ukraine Emergency Fund will immediately help meet the needs of Ukraine’s Jewish community. Donate now.

Since tensions began around Ukraine in November, Jews in need have been forced to choose between buying food or keeping warm through this freezing winter. The crisis spurred by Russia’s invasion catapults the most vulnerable into renewed risk and suffering. We anticipate the extensive needs to continue rising, including tens of thousands of displaced Jewish people in need of aid, and support for possible immigration to Israel.

Our partners are working to ensure uninterrupted humanitarian aid including food, medicine, winter relief, and emergency assistance for the most vulnerable Jews throughout Ukraine, including an emergency center to provide guidance and information regarding the Israel immigration process.

Decades of support from Federation’s Annual Campaign and United Jewish Endowment Fund grants have built the infrastructure we need to respond urgently, whether to rapid inflation or the horrors of war. Today, we act swiftly alongside our partners, including Jewish Federations across North America, to ensure Ukraine’s Jews remain safe and cared for.

We cannot do this continuing, crucial, life-saving work without you. Thank you for caring for our community members around the globe in times of calm and crisis.

With fervent prayers for peace,
