Criminals of all types will seek to exploit the trying times we find ourselves in now with Coronavirus and COVID-19. With many of us working remotely and increasingly on-line, criminals and others may use common internet scams customized for the current times to defraud, damage reputations, and to harass.

You can stay abreast of on-going cyber scams on the Federal Trade Commission’s Coronavirus page. The FBI has published a public service announcement on recent cyber scams related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as well.

If you believe you have been targeted in a cyber scam, you can file a report through local law enforcement or on-line with the FBI through the Internet Crime Complaint Center.
