A few words from Federation’s 2018 Network Event co-chair, Matthew Friedson

The Network Event is a beautiful and thought-provoking event that brings together the best of business and philanthropy from
the Greater Washington Jewish community. This year, The Network Event united 400 Jewish professionals from diverse fields and industries in Greater Washington to serve a common philanthropic cause, while building upon and creating new professional relationships. Most of all, it is a gathering to celebrate and to thank all people that make the critical work of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington possible.

Federation builds and fosters the community and recognizes that we all connect to Jewish life in different ways, for different reasons, and through different interests and passions. From fighting hunger and poverty to combating anti-Semitism on college campuses, from responding quickly to crises around the world to ensuring our children have access to opportunities to build their Jewish identity, and striving towards inclusion for all, there is something for all of us to identify with through Federation’s important work.

While there are many ways for philanthropists to channel their talents, passions and generosity, no other non-profit can do as much with our philanthropic gifts as The Jewish Federation. Every year, donations to Federation’s Annual Campaign go directly to meeting the critical needs of our Jewish community, here in Greater Washington, in Israel and in more than 70 countries overseas. They do this through the support of 34 local, 12 national and 4 international organizations whose programs and services touch, change and save lives every day.
