This year, Rabbi Deitsch traveled to Nir Oz, one of the communities devastated by the brutal attacks of October 7, to offer support and solidarity. While there, he came upon the home of Itzik, who was wounded and taken hostage to Gaza and, tragically, did not survive.

Itzik’s brother asked us to take a mezuzah from Itzik’s home and give it a new life—carrying his memory, his home, and his Jewish spirit forward.

Join us this Simchat Torah as we dedicate the Mezuzah from Itzik’s home, giving it a new life filled with Jewish pride, light, and hope.

On the Hebrew date of October 7, we’ll come together to honor Itzik’s memory and celebrate the strength of Am Yisroel with Hakafot, dancing, a festive brunch, hearing from special guests and from our frontlines.
Together, we’ll turn remembrance into Jewish joy and celebrate the enduring light of our people.
