Aleph Bet Jewish Day School

Aleph Bet was conceived in 1987 by a group of parents and rabbis from five area synagogues, representing the wide spectrum of Jewish belief and practice that characterizes the Annapolis community. The texts and traditions of Judaism are interwoven with twenty-first century skills and information in an academic program that has earned certification from the Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS) and approval by the Maryland State Department of Education. Aleph Bet is a member of RAVSAK, the international network of community day schools. Classes are from Kindergarten through fifth grade. Congregation Kneseth Israel operates a before-school and after-school care center on a sign-up or drop-in basis. Hours are generally from 8:00 AM. to 5:30 PM.
