The Department, in partnership with other State agencies, works to enhance and expand opportunities for people with disabilities and address barriers in education, employment, housing, health and behavioral health and transportation. MDOD also works to increase physical access to state owned buildings and expand the use of assistive technology to achieve greater independence.
