Virginia Holocaust Museum

« All Events
Website http://www.va-holocaust.com/

The mission of the Virginia Holocaust Museum is to educate young people by “teaching tolerance through education.” The museum has hundreds of school groups visit the museum each year. Refer to the website for information to prepare students with a basic understanding of the Holocaust and related events before visiting the museum.
For individuals and groups under ten people, a self-guided tour with guidebook is preceded by a 14-minute movie of background information to prepare you for the tour. Self-guided tour is about one hour. Audio sets also available, narrated by Jay Ipson (former Executive Director) and that tour takes about 1 1/2 hours.

We recommend that groups of ten or more call for a reservation for a tour. We will arrange for a docent to guide the group through the museum.

If you are interested in giving the Museum any type of donation, you have several options: use the online contact form, call the Museum at 804-257-5400, or visit the Museum during its hours of operation. Also, you can donate your used car to the Virginia Holocaust Museum, and your donation is tax-deductible as provided by law. You may also donate to the Museum in the form of stocks, annuities, insurance policies payable to the Museum.
