Patty Shaivitz Leve graduated from Cooper Union, in 1981, with a BFA in graphic design. There commenced her serious, lifelong study of calligraphy. She has studied calligraphy extensively with Sheila Waters for many years. Patty has been making custom ketubot for individuals since 1981, as well as custom invitations. Her work resides in private collections in the United States and Israel. She currently sells printed ketubot to stores all over the country and on internet sites, as well as Judaic art. Patty lives in Baltimore with her husband and three children.
