The objective of Hebrew Free Loan Association of Greater Washington (“Association”)is to help Jewish residents in need during a time of financial crisis. The Association is run by dedicated volunteers who devote their time to raising money and lending funds to Jewish residents of theWashington, DC area who are temporarily in financial need.

Personal loans are made for a maximum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000). Loans of $5,000 are payable over a 25 month term at $200 per month. Loans of $10,000 are payable over a 36 month term at$280 per month. Student loans are available only if the student is in the junior or senior year of college or in a full time graduate school or trade school program. The maximum amount for a student
loan is five thousand dollars ($5,000).

Applicant (Personal Loan)
1. Must be Jewish
2. Must be employed
3. Must live in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area
4. Must sign a promissory note before receiving loan
5. If married, spouse must sign promissory note
6. For loans of $5,000 or less, two (2) guarantors are required
7. For loans of more than $5,000, three (3) guarantors are required
