Enjoy light appetizers and drinks as you peruse the exhibition of award-winning photographer Lloyd Wolf’s pictures of klezmer musicians. These photographs sizzle with energy, capturing the soul and sound of the performers in visual form.
8:00 PM-9:00 PM: Live klezmer performed by Mrs. Toretsky’s Nightmare!
After the reception, be wowed by the local klezmer group Mrs. Toretsky’s Nightmare! This band fills the air with the celebratory, dance-inducing music of Eastern European Jews, from melodies unearthed in long-lost archives to complex tunes penned by today’s hottest young klezmer composers. The group is led by Jeff Toretsky (clarinet).
