Kol Ami: Northern Virginia Reconstructionist Community

Kol Ami is a welcoming and inclusive community of progressive Jews who honor both tradition and modernity in an egalitarian, interactive atmosphere. Rooted in the Reconstructionist movement—the fourth branch of Judaism—Kol Ami is affiliated with Jewish Reconstructionist Communities and values diversity in every form. All are embraced, including interfaith families, people of all identities, backgrounds, and abilities, and those at every stage of life.

Founded as a small havurah, Kol Ami has grown into a vibrant congregation with a regular schedule of services and events while maintaining its close-knit, participatory spirit. Most gatherings take place at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, with additional programs hosted in members’ homes and community spaces.
