JCRC

The program is free, and funded by a generous contribution from Margo and Yoram Cohen, and by the Jewish Community Relations Council and The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington Welcomes the participation of interfaith couples and families, and people of all abilities, backgrounds and sexual orientations.

The Margo & Yoram Cohen Family Israel Engagement Fellowship is an eight-part program that teaches teen leaders to explore their connection with Israel in a meaningful way. Fellows will learn about the importance of the State of Israel within Jewish history, and graduate with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to develop their own Israel story.

This program examines the special relationship the American Jewish community has with the State of Israel, teaches teens how to be savvy consumers of media and information, and evaluate the many ways they can support Israel on college campuses and beyond. By the end of the Fellowship, graduates will understand the special connection to Israel—the land, the people, and the values—as they learn the history of the Jewish people.

The Margo & Yoram Cohen Family Israel Engagement Fellowship is open to teens in grades 10 – 12.
