Exciting news to share: Mayim Bialik, known for playing Amy Farrah Fowler on the hit show, The Big Bang Theory, recently took a trip with her son to Israel in honor of his Bar Mitzvah. While in Israel, Mayim and her son volunteered in the logistics center of the one and only Leket Israel.
You may remember that Leket Israel was founded by Joseph Gitler, who came to Washington just this April as Federation’s Imagine Israel Changemaker to tell his personal story of making Aliyah (immigrating to Israel) from the US and staring Israel’s National Food Bank. We’re so excited that Mayim and her son had a chance to participate in such a meaningful project in Israel!
