Disability Inclusion Community Planning Resources
Federation is proud to join together with Jewish organizations and communities around the world in a unified effort to raise awareness and champion the rights of people with disabilities.
Recognizing that we must be a welcoming and inclusive community for all by expanding the ways in which individuals are invited and encouraged to participate in Jewish life, Federation developed an Inclusion Planning Toolkit to help all organizations on their journey to full inclusion.
Objective: Inspire an ever-changing, collaborative environment around the topic of inclusion.
How to use: Use toolkit as a fluid, developmental process to help guide your organization through every stage and area of the inclusion journey, ranging from attitudinal changes to structural accommodations. In coordination with your organization’s disability inclusion team, explore the Discussion Guides and the Self-Assessment Activities.
While each organization may be at a different stage of this journey, we know that striving towards full inclusion strengthens our entire community.
There’s always more to learn! You can find a full list of resources for creating an inclusive community.
Should you have any questions, Federation will be here every step of the way to assist and help guide you through the toolkit’s categories, questions and resources. Federation is consistently working to improve the accessibility and usability of the JFGW website. We strive to follow the standards of WCAG 2.0 Level AA as our guide for design and function.
