As a Jewish community, we recognize that the work we do internally to make our spaces inclusive must be mirrored in our public advocacy to create a world of wholeness, justice, and compassion.

Advocacy & Awareness

Advocate for disability rights on Capitol Hill at The Jewish Federations of North America’s annual Jewish Disability Advocacy Day (JDAD) on February 6.

Be a part of this exciting day as we learn specific legislative priorities from disability rights experts, hear about the future of disability policy from policymakers and meet with members of Congress, and their staff to discuss the importance of protecting the rights of people with disabilities. Film Festival 

Attend JCCNV’s 6th annual ReelAbilities Film Festival from March 10 – 18 to view award-winning films by and about people with disabilities.

ReelAbilities is the largest film festival in the country dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation for the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with different abilities. Federation is presenting a panel discussion after the final film on Saturday, March 18.

Career & Resource Fair

Join Federation’s Road to Independence: Disability Inclusion Resource Fair on Sunday, March 18.

Federation is hosting the 2nd annual Disability Inclusion Resource Fair for young individuals with disabilities and their families. Learn about social, recreational, vocational, employment, housing and financial resources and opportunities from over 35 organizations in our community. Take part in two specialized workshops led by industry experts in the fields of dating and relationships, and financial planning.
