Young Leadership is the entry point for young adults in their 20s and 30s to become involved with The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and the Jewish community. We provide young adults with a social connection, networking opportunities, leadership development, philanthropic advancement and a deepening of Jewish knowledge in an effort to ensure that the communal values of one generation will be carried into the next.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington brings people and financial resources together to advance our three-part mission:

  • To care for those in need
  • To deepen engagement in Jewish life and strengthen Jewish identity
  • To create connections among Jews locally, in Israel and around the world

In the Greater Washington area, Federation provides funds to 40 local beneficiary agencies, including 11 area Hillels and 3 local JCCs. Federation also partners with 21 national and international organizations, including the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), Ethiopian National Project (ENP) and World ORT, to help provide rescue, relief and resettlement to Jews anywhere in the world.
