Alumni Mission Bri Birthright taglit

About the Mission

What is this mission all about?
The NEXT DC Alumni Leadership Mission is a unique opportunity for 25 Taglit-Birthright Israel alumni to travel to Israel once again, but focus this time on leadership development and training.

Participants will spend a week in Israel and have the opportunity to learn and experience how young people are re-shaping Israel’s business and technological climate, make global connections, and experience firsthand how The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington supports communities abroad.

Participation Requirements
Accepted participants will be required to attend three pre-trip sessions and three post-trip sessions. Participants will also be required to create an impact project for the community upon their return. An impact project will consist of taking an idea that will enrich the Jewish community of Greater Washington and putting it into action.

What are the dates of the trip?
November 3 - 12, 2013.

Who is eligible?
The mission is open to post-college individuals who went on a Birthright Israel trip during the Winter 2012-2013 season or prior, live in the Greater Washington area, and have demonstrated leadership abilities.

Cost?
The cost of the week-long trip is only $950, thanks to a generous donor.

Registration

How do I register?
The application will be available form April 16 - May 10 at 12pm at shalomdc.org/alumnimission.
