The Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation is dedicated to creating social change for women and girls through grants.

Our grants:

  • Provide a distinctive funding vehicle for donors who care about girls’ and women's issues
  • Heighten public awareness of the critical issues impacting women and girls
  • Support important efforts that address women’s issues through empowerment, education and advocacy

The Foundation empowers women to serve as:

  • Leaders
  • Philanthropists
  • Decision Makers
  • Advocates on behalf of women of all ages

Foundation Trustees have the opportunity to:

  • Be grantmakers within the context of being Jewish women
  • Have a greater stake in spending philanthropic dollars
  • Learn about philanthropy
  • Develop skills in governance, financial management and organizational leadership
  • Participate in intergenerational dialogue with Jewish women
  • Celebrate our Jewish identities
  • Recapture our biblical and historic legacy
  • Honor our traditions of tzedakah and tikkun olam

Through its democratic, inclusive structure, the Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation nurtures engaged, sophisticated leadership among the women who serve as its Trustees.

Women who join the Foundation with a gift of $15,000 over five years become Trustees for a five-year term.

Women who join with a gift of $45,000 over five years become lifetime members of the Board of Trustees.

Women who make a contribution of $100,000 over a five year period ($20,000 per year) will secure lifetime and trans-generational membership on the Board of Trustees that may be shared with younger women in their families, thereby maintaining a place at this important agenda-setting table for generations to come.

The Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation is an independent project of Federation and the United Jewish Endowment Fund.
