MesorahDC

MesorahDC provides young single professionals with exciting opportunities in Jewish enrichment. We create an environment where Jewish people of all backgrounds and affiliations will feel comfortable learning more about our Jewish heritage, and about how Jewish tradition interfaces with the 21st century. MesorahDC helps young, single professionals ages 22 to 38 experience a beautiful Shabbat. Traditional, easy-to-follow service, based around the stirring melodies of the late Jewish composer, Shlomo Carlebach. Explanations and a running commentary accompany the service, so that even people less familiar with it feel more connected. The service is followed by a full-scale, gourmet Shabbat meal on the first Friday of the month, and a lighter dinner on the third Friday.

The cost for the full dinner is $15.00 per person. If you come with a friend, it’s half price for each. For more information, or to sign up, please contact Rabbi Edelstein.
