Communications Strategist & Writer

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s Communications Strategist & Writer will be a core member of our professional team. Sitting at the intersection of impact, fundraising, and marketing, they will develop and implement new, dynamic ways of communicating Federation’s impact to key stakeholders (including donors and lay leaders) and the community at large.

Director, Women’s Philanthropy

As a leader on the Donor Engagement team, the Director of Women’s Philanthropy is a relationship builder, working with donors and lay leaders to advance Federation’s mission. The Director is a dynamic team player and experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of cultivating relationships, building a donor pipeline, and soliciting gifts, including Lions of Judah ($5,000+) and Forever Lions (Lion of Judah Endowment). Through a strategic, donor-centric, cohort-based model, the Director is responsible for increasing donor retention and acquisition via peer groups and relationships, such as small groups, larger events, and immersive missions.

Donor Relations Associate

The Donor Relations Associate is responsible for strengthening donors’ relationships with the organization and supporting colleagues’ efforts to do the same. This includes speaking with donors directly, working with colleagues to develop a strategic plan for donor relations, and managing the acknowledgement and payment reminder process for donors’ gifts. This person may also be the first point of contact for UJEF Fund holders who ensures that inquiries are resolved promptly and professionally. This person should be a personable self-starter who is able to multi-task and successfully prioritize to complete their full portfolio of responsibilities in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

HR & Talent Manager

Working under the supervision of the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer, the HR & Talent Manager is primarily responsible for Federation’s full-cycle talent acquisition and management activities. This includes the coordination, planning, and execution of day-to-day recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing performance management activities. This person will also assist in managing essential Human Resources operational activities, including employment, compensation, benefits, employee services, legal compliance, and staff corrective action.
