Director, Community Engagement, Stewardship and Cultivation

Federation’s Director of Community Engagement will oversee the organization’s efforts to use its engagement programs as a tool for not only connecting community members to each other and to Jewish life, but also to the Jewish Federation. This professional will oversee a department that will formalize our engagement efforts by outlining synergies between and among the programs, create institutional metrics that all engagement programs will contribute to, and will serve as a mentor, guide and coach for engagement program directors in helping them move toward a pivot from programming for programming sake to metrics driven, goal-oriented programming that attracts a wider and broader audience to the Federation world.

The Director will be on the multidisciplinary professional team of the Jewish Federation and will work with a dedicated committee of lay leaders who are passionate about creating a more inclusive Jewish community. (S)he will collaborate with professionals serving the interfaith community, both locally and nationally, using all the tools and resources available.

Director, InterfaithFamily/DC

The ideal candidate is highly motivated and passionate about working with interfaith couples and families, can create meaningful personal connections as well as engaging programs for people in interfaith relationships, and is experienced in professional training with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The director will work collaboratively with multiple departments of the Jewish Federation to engage families with the Jewish community and with the Federation. (S)he will create a network with Jewish agencies and synagogues throughout Greater Washington to provide a more welcoming environment to engage interfaith couples/families in the way that works best for them. Rabbinic ordination is preferred but not required for this position. This is currently a part time position that we envision could become a full-time role in the future.

Intern, Direct Marketing

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s dynamic and cutting-edge Marketing team is looking for a direct marketing intern who is willing to learn quickly and contribute copiously.
