Women’s Philanthropy Local Mission

Join Women’s Philanthropy on a local mission to get an insider look into The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s broad impact in our community.

Mission Highlights

  • Meet Federation’s CEO, Steve Rakitt, and hear his first-hand account of Federation’s goals for the DC Jewish community.
  • Be inspired and learn about the welcoming and inclusive community Greater Washington offers from Federation’s Community Disability Inclusion Specialist, Lisa Handelman.
  • Get a taste of what Jewish life is like on two diverse college campuses throughout Greater Washington from American University’s Executive Director, Jason Benkendorf and GW Hillel’s Executive Director, Rabbi Yoni Kaiser-Blueth.
  • Hear from Edlavitch DCJCC’s CEO, Carole R. Zawatsky about GLOE – The Kurlander Program for GLBTQ Outreach & Engagement and the wide variety of ways they connect a diverse population of Jews to each other and to Jewish life in DC.

Breakfast and lunch included. Kosher dietary laws observed.

Transportation will be provided following breakfast. We will return to the Federation building at 1:30 p.m.
