Rabbi Maya Leibovich is the first woman rabbi ordained in Israel by the Hebrew Union College, and she has been on the forefront of Progressive Judaism in Israel. As a native Israeli, Rabbi Leibovich expresses her love of Jewish tradition, the Land of Israel, spirituality, traditional Jewish and modern Israeli literature in her involvement in the current Israeli scene. Rabbi Leibovich is in the United States for a very short while before returning to her congregation, Mevasseret Zion in Jerusalem and is delighted to visit Temple Emanuel.
