Cadastral land records and property maps are an excellent source of family history information. The combination of maps and records provides exact locations in the shtetl where each family lived. It can tell the story of who their neighbors were. The maps show exact locations of the synagogue, cemetery, schools, market square  (“rynek”) and other community establishments.
