Gesher Galicia ("Bridge to Galicia") is the special interest group for researchers who have Jewish roots in this former province of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This program will offer a short overview of the history of Galicia and provide an introduction to our SIG's research activities. We'll cover metrical records, newspapers, school and landowner records, and explain where they can be found both online and in US and overseas archives.
