HOLIDAY VOLUNTEERING 2008

JEWISH FOUNDATION FOR GROUP HOMES SUKKOT

Individuals, groups and families of all ages are invited to visit our homes during Sukkot to eat a snack in the Sukkah and help the residents with the lulav and etrog blessings. We will provide the blessings, and volunteers are invited to bring fresh fruit, veggies or Hekshered snack foods. You are also most welcome to bring your own lulav and etrog.  Help is also needed after Sukkot to take down and store our Sukkah Kits.

On Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26, join thousands of county residents to help make our wonderful Montgomery County an even better community. Roll up your sleeves and help some of our neighbors in need. Pick a project that will enrich our quality of life. Your hours, combined with those of thousands of others, will make a real difference. It is a great day for families to work together. Students can earn service learning (SSL) hours.  Everyone benefits.  Community Service Day is coordinated by the Montgomery County Volunteer Center under the Offices of County Executive Isiah Leggett.
